A meeting in relation to the European agenda for the Impress 2 project took place at Ineris on February 26 and 27

This meeting was convened within the context of a call for proposals in relation to the Euramet EMPIR project, the program reunited 15 partners, including Ineris, to implement the EU directive on industrial emissions, medium sized combustion power plants and directives relating to eco-design.
The Impress 2 project (2017-2020), coordinated by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL, United Kingdow) aims to validate and characterise new methods of measuring atmospheric pollutants, resulting from:

- industrial activities (hydrofluoric acid, ammonia and formaldehyde) in connection with the IED and MCP Directives;
- the use of biomass (particles, organic compounds), in support of the implementation of the EcoDesign Directive.
 The institute contributes to the project, in terms of:
- evaluation and comparisons of working methods (for the characterisation of ammonia, formaldehyde, solid particle and Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) emissions);
- validation of working methods for characterising emissions from condensable particles and semi-volatile organic compounds from domestic wood-burning appliances.
