Final meeting of the Agribusiness BREF

The Institute visited Seville this week, for the final meeting of the “Agribusiness BREF”, at the European Office for the Prevention and Reduction of Pollution which is responsible for the preparation and revision of BREFs, in accordance with the IED Directive.

This meeting brought together all stakeholders in the sector (more than 70 experts from 15 member states, fifteen industrial entities and NGOs). The French delegation was made up of 2 representatives from the Ministry of Ecological and Collective Transition and an expert from Ineris.

The BREFs are reference documents that describe the Best Available Techniques used by each industry sector and associated emission levels.
